THE SISTERS OF MERCY. FIND OUT WHO WE ARE and YOU JUST MIGHT DISCOVER WHO YOU ARE.
Ever consider making God’s work your life’s work? Then please consider the Sisters of Mercy.
For most of us, the process begins with a strong feeling in our hearts. To do something, well, more. To connect. To help. To serve. And to find meaning in what’s truly meaningful.
The Sisters of Mercy is the largest order of religious women in the U.S.–with more than 4,300 sisters in the Americas and almost 10,000 globally.
Our mission is a simple one: to make the world a better place, especially for women and children. And that noble mission starts with women like you.
If you are seeking and searching, it may be time for you to explore what the Sisters of Mercy stand for. Regardless of where you are, we can begin a conversation. We can get to know one another through a variety of methods, e-mail, phone calls, letters, or come and meet us face-to-face.
We do not seek to influence your decision, but to assist you in your journey of discernment. You may find religious life is not for you. You may find that your vocation lies elsewhere. And we will rejoice with your decision. You may discover that religious life presents you with a compelling and fulfilling path to allow you — in the company of other supportive women – — to become more than you ever thought possible.
If you’d like to correspond with a Sister of Mercy via e-mail, letter or phone, please start the conversation today by calling Sr. Maria Rosario Gaite @ (671) 632-2384 or e-mail her at mgaite@mercysc.org
Prayer for Vocations
God of Mercy, you have called us to fullness of life through Christ Jesus. Deep within us you speak the word that invites us to continue the mission of Jesus, tomake your love known throughout the world.
God of the harvest, raise up within the church women who will commit their lives to serving your people. Send to our Mercy Institute women of fidelity and compassion who will join us in our vowed commitment to serve the poor, sicj, and ignorant. May we rejoice in their call and support them through the witness of our lives and the hospitality of our hearts. Amen
